Odds is a small handmade box with an interactive “deck” of ninety-five images that have been deemed motley and miscellaneous throughout the process of sequencing other separate photographic projects. A “junk drawer” of sorts. The back of each photograph has an assorted phrase that has been read, overheard, or remembered and recorded alongside the accumulation of the images to serve as pairings that highlight the discontinuity. With this structure, the stack welcomes and lends autonomy to the viewer to reconfigure, play, and shift the communication between the images and phrases. The photographs have been subsequently been given their own, constant sequence.
